Susan Weinschenk
Chief of User Experience Strategy, Americas, at Human Factors International
Author of "100 Things Every Designer Needs To Know About People" and "Neuro Web: What Makes Them Click?"
Susan Weinschenk is one of the strange people that actually likes to read research studies. "A lot of research is hard to read, a lot of it doesn't say anything interesting, useful, or important. But then I hit a gem of a study that I know is interesting and important for the work that we do as user interface designers. I also love the feeling that I have a sense of "what's out there", that I've got a pulse on the state of the art."
Susan has a Ph.D. in Psychology and 30-year career in applying psychology to the design of technology. Her latest book is entitled, "100 Things Every Designer Needs To Know About People." A popular speaker and presenter, her nickname is "The Brain Lady". She is Chief of User Experience Strategy, Americas, at Human Factors International, and runs a popular blog: Whatmakesthemclick.net.
