Richard Sheridan, CEO of Menlo Innovations, invites all IUE2011 attendees on a real Agile shop tour immediately following conference sessions on Wednesday October 12 at 5:30pm. Enjoy Hors d'Oeuvres and drinks while Richard gives you a tour of the Menlo workplace, discusses the benefits of an Agile shop, and answers your questions.

Menlo Innovations was founded in 2001 when the implosion of the dot-com boom provided the opportunity for Menlo's founders to come together. It was their direct experiences with agile methodologies from 1999-2001 that provided a compelling vision for a new organization that could take an entirely new approach to software design and development. Inspired by the creative and productive environment of Thomas Edison's Menlo Park "invention factory," each founder brought a unique set of skills and abilities.

Today Menlo Innovations specializes in creating highly useful and usable software using its trademarked High-Tech Anthropology® practice coupled with Extreme Programming and Lean practices within the Menlo Software Factory™ for companies both large and small. They've adopted as their mission the lofty goal of "...eliminating human suffering as it relates to technology" and seek to return joy to the most unique endeavors in the history of mankind: inventing software!

Third Annual IUE Pub Crawl

Join your conference colleagues on a tour of four microbreweries located in downtown Ann Arbor. Each brewery offers an excellent line of beers and food. Nobody has made all four, but we are putting a schedule around it this year to see if it helps.
